R. Steven Trustdorf, 51, of 1545 McMillen St., Dover, Ohio died Tuesday, November 23, 1999 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
Steve was a 5th and 6th grade schoolteacher at Indian Valley Schools where he taught mathematics. He was also the Title Program teacher for first and second grade in math and reading at Port Washington. He was previously a schoolteacher in the New Philadelphia Schools. He was also a salesman for Park Honda in New Philadelphia and was an employee of the City of Dover during the summer months. He formerly assisted at Dinolfo’s Restaurant in Dover.
Born August 13, 1948 in Dover, he was the son of Mary Austrich Trustdorf of Dover and the late Robert L. Trustdorf.
Steve was a member of the First Moravian Church at Dover. He was a 1966 graduate of Dover High School and graduate of Kent State University where he was a student athlete. He was a member of the former Dover Basketeers.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Christy Carruthers Trustdorf with whom he celebrated eleven years.
Three daughters Stephanie (John) Wellman of Strasburg, Staci Trustdorf of Canton and Mia Trustdorf of the home.
One Sister Gail (Dwight) Smith of Silver Spring, Maryland
Two Brothers David Trustdorf of Dover and Allan (Cathy) Trustdorf and son Richie of Loundon, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Trustdorf.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, Nov. 29, 1999 at 11:00 AM in the First Moravian Church in Dover with Rev. Allen Bergmann officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 2-8 PM with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
