Robert "Bob" Raynow, age 75, of Strasburg, OH passed away peacefully on June 13, 2011 surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born in Akron Ohio, and is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Cathryn Raynow and brothers, Douglas and Roger Raynow.
He is survived by his wife of 55+ years, Joanne Yuhas Raynow and children, Susan & (Greg) Kapsner, Anne & (Gene) Wallick, Robert Jr. & (Lisa), Mary Kay Benevich, and Patricia Herron, 12 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
In addition to spending time with his family (his greatest priority), he loved his biennial fishing trips to Int'l Falls, MN at Rainy Lake with his long time fishing buddies. Robert loved sports and as a young man, played one season for the Cleveland Indian Farm team in Olean, NY. He retired as General Manager from Ross Nameplate Co. in Monterey Park California in 1996 and moved back to Ohio. His wit and wisdom will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 18 at 1:00 p.m. in Toland Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. Following the service, a meal will be served in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center.
