Robert W. "Bob" Creamer, age 72, of Dover, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, in Oak Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Baltic, following a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Born Jun. 6, 1940, in Dover, Bob was the son of the late Clarence and Rose Ann Shocksneider Creamer. He attended school at Winfield and graduated from Dover High School. Bob served honorably in both the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army. Following his discharge, he was employed by CSX from which he retired after thirty years of service.

Bob was a member and past-commander of the Army-Navy Garrison at New Philadelphia. He had a keen interest in history, and proudly served as a Revolutionary War re-enactor at events at both Fort Laurens at Bolivar and Fort Pitt at Pittsburgh.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Kight Creamer, whom he married on Jul. 3, 1985; two sons, Robert Creamer II of Midvale and Terry (Machelle) Hughes of Columbus; a daughter, Regina (George "Chip") Green of New Philadelphia; seven grandchildren, Josh (Jenny), Justin (Stacy) and Kayla Green, Payton Hughes, Clay Morris, Robert III and Christopher Creamer; four brothers, Lawrence (Cindy) White of Uhrichsville, Melvin "Skip" (Julia) White and Jay (Shelley) Reiss, both of Massillon, and Tim (Cheri) Reiss of Dover; many nieces and nephews.
