Robin L. Stephon, 51, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, in her residence following a sixteen-month battle with cancer.

Born Jan. 31, 1952, in Columbus, she was a daughter of Ben and Jesse Newell McNutt of Mineral City. Robin was a 1971 graduate of Tuscarawas Valley High School, and was employed by the former Elby's and K-Mart Super Center, both of New Philadelphia. Following K-Mart's closing, she worked as a security guard for Greer Steel Co., Dover.

Robin loved her family. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and collecting angel figurines. She was a great fan of the Cleveland Indians and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons, Joe (Julie) Stephon and Jim (Angie) Stephon, both of New Philadelphia; a grandson, Kyle Stephon; a sister, Carla (Larry) Young of Ashtabula; three brothers, Ben (Dawn) McNutt and Bart (Brenda) McNutt, both of Mineral City, and Charles (Judy) McNutt of Bolivar; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

In keeping with Robin's wishes, her body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held Monday, Jun. 2, 2003, at 6 p.m., in Dover First Christian Church, 3026 N. Wooster Ave., Dover, with Rev. Don Campbell officiating.
