Roger D. Grewell

Roger D. Grewell, 56, of Dennison, died suddenly Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Union Hospital, following an apparent heart attack.

Born January 27, 1952, he was the son of Betty L. Hennis Grewell of Dover, and the late Charles F. Grewell.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, loved spending time with his grandchildren.

On May 3, 1975, he married his wife of 33 years, Carla (Jones) Grewell, who survives. In addition to his wife, other surviving family members include: Jennifer L. (fianc Pete) Grewell of Cambridge, Julie A (Jason) Carlee of Port Washington, and Brandy E.M. Comignaghi of Dover; a son, Thomas (Cassie) of Uhrichsville; two brothers, Robert (Linda) Grewell and Mark (Syl) Grewell and a sister, Valerie (William) Buckohr of New Philadelphia; along with 6 grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Roger's cremation is being handled through the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory, Dover. His family observed a private time of remembrance last evening.
