Ronald E. Wolfe, 55, of 211 Glenview Ave., Dover, Ohio died Thursday, November 29, 2001 in his home following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Ron was a car salesman with Humphries Auto City for over thirty years.
Born October 11, 1946 in Dover, Ohio, he was the son of Betty Haver Wolfe Herron of Dover and the late Kenneth Wolfe.
Ron was a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church at Dover where he served as an usher and former church council member. He was also a member of the New Philadelphia Elks Lodge, and former member of the Dover Tornado Club. He formerly coached in the Dover Youth Baseball League and the Youth Football League. He was a 1964 graduate of Tusky Valley High School and served in the US Army during the Viet Nam era.
In addition to his mother, Ron is survived by his wife, Paula Keener Wolfe with whom he celebrated 29 years of marriage on January 22, 2001. He is also survived by two sons and one daughter Brian (Julie) Wolfe of Mount Sterling, Ohio, and twins, John and Karla Wolfe both of the home.
Three brothers Richard (Monina) Wolfe of Marietta, Georgia; David (Cindy) Wolfe of Dover and James (Sheila) Wolfe of Katy, Texas; his father in law and mother in law Art and Doris Keener of Dover; Sisters in law and brothers in law, Patty Keener and her companion Jerry Schupp, Mark (Lynn) Keener, Pam (Jeff) Keller, Jan (Glenn) Porter all of Dover and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 3, 2001 at 11 am in the Grace Eva. Lutheran Church at Dover with Pastors Brian Nunnally and Dr. William Haggis officiating. A reception will follow in the Dover Masonic Temple. Cremation will follow services with interment in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover on Sunday from 2-6 pm and at the church Monday from 10-11 am.
