Rosa A. Hoover, 83, of Dover died Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at Country Club Retirement Center following an extended illness.
She retired from Dover City Schools after 15 years as a Bus Driver.
Born March 26, 1918 in Uhrichsville she was a daughter of the late James and Gevonti Leberto DiGenova.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Dover Army-Navy Club and was a life member of Dover VFW Aux.
Rosa was preceded in death by her husband Wilbert Hoover Sr. who died in 1979.
She is survived by a daughter: Kathy (Max) Ritenour of Dover
Son: Mike (Connie) Hoover of Uhrichsville
Two sisters: Thelma Davis of Dover
Lucy Cramblett of Dover
Three grandchildren: T.J. Smith, Lance Hoover and Derrick Hoover
Many nieces and nephews
She was also preceded in death by two sons: James and Wilbert Hoover Jr.
Grandson: Richard Hoover
Five brothers and three sisters
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 15, 2002 at 10:30 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia. Friends can call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover on Thursday from 6-8 pm with Christian Wake Services starting at 7:30 pm.
