Rose B. Price

Rose B. Price, 87, of Strasburg, Ohio died Friday, February 11, 2005 in the Hennis Care Centre surrounded by her loving family.

She was a registered nurse and worked at Apple Creek Hospital for many years. She and her husband also owned and operated the former Price Nursing Home in Strasburg. She was a former nurse at Aultman Hospital.

Born March 6, 1917 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frederick and Rose Bertha Malack Tesmer.

She was a former volunteer for Hospice of Tuscarawas County. She formerly attended the Unity Church in Massillon and was program director for the Strasburg AARP. She enjoyed creating pottery, rug weaving, crocheting, and reading. She enjoyed traveling around the world.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Richard L. Price Sr. who died April 30, 1989.

She is survived by seven children; Patricia Stotts of North Carolina, Bonita J. Conley of Ft. Worth, Texas, Susan Rose Crawford of Arlington, Texas, Richard (Sandy) Price of Strasburg, Chris (Jill) Price of Strasburg, Rebecca (Charles) Pace of Dover and Peter (Annette) Price of Strasburg; sixteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, one brother, Theodore (Roberta) Tesmer of Mesa, Arizona, one sister in law, Jane Tesmer of Shaker Heights, and her companions, Addy and Ben her dogs and Anubus the cat.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Walter “Buddy” Gibson III, three brothers, and three sisters.

A service celebrating Rose�(TM)s life will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 4pm in the Lakeview Baptist Church in Dundee with Pastor Gary Yackey officiating with a reception to follow the services. At her request, cremation take place by the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County or the American Cancer Society.
