Rose C. Gebelin

Rose C. Gebelin, 83, of Dover passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022 in the Park Village Health Care Center at Dover.

Born July 16, 1939 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Louis and Ida Fondriest Gebelin. Rose was also preceded in death by her brothers, Carl and Frank Gebelin; sisters, Anna and Louise Gebelin; nephew, Michael Gebelin.

She graduated in 1957 from St. Joseph High School, and was a life-long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dover; she was also a member of St. Joseph Alumni Association, St. Joe Seniors, and the St. Joseph Traditional and Funeral Choirs, as well as, being a die-hard Notre Dame football fan. Rose was employed at Huntington National Bank in Dover, having retired in 1998 after 41 years of service.

She is survived by three nieces, including, Mildred (Robert) Edder of New Philadelphia; three great nieces, which include, Staci Reed of MI; two great nephews, which included, Robert Gebelin of New Philadelphia; great-great nephew, Callen Reed of MI; and special cousins, Susan, Tara and Damien.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 19th starting at 1:30 pm in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery, Dover. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service on Friday.
