Rose Marie Graef

Rose Marie Graef, age 89, of Dover passed away Monday, February 7, 2011 in the Park Village Health Care Center. She was born January 12, 1922 in Dover and was a daughter of the late Sam and Louise Zuchegno Petricola.

She was a life-long resident of Dover, graduating from Dover High School in 1940. She was a member of Saint Joesph's Church

Mrs Graef served as the Attendance Office Secretary at Dover High School for 14 years and retired in 1983. Prior to that she was employed at Surety Savings and Loan. During World War II she worked at the draft board assisting in enlisting many of the local servicemen.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, dancing, Christmas decorating and dining out with the Gourmet Club, which consisted of a group of couples from Canton, Massillon and Navarre. She was an avid Dover football fan and was especially fond of spoiling her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons Steve (and Barb) Graef of Dover and Eric Graef of Concord 4 grandchildren Stephanie (Frank) Bachman of Bolivar, Erica (Paul) Kuhn of Painesville, Dustin Graef of South Euclid and Mandy Graef of Columbus and three great grandchildren Teddy and Joey Bachman and Kylan Kuhn. Her loving husband of 56 years, Robert, and two brothers Vince and Eugene Petricola preceded her in death.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 10:30 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Father Matt Hoover officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm with Christian Wake services starting at 7:45.
