Rosemary Beans

Rosemary Beans, 87, of Micanopy, Florida, and formerly of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 22 2024, at The Plaza Health and Rehab Center in Gainesville, Florida.

She was born on August 8, 1937, in New Philadelphia to the late Joseph Sr. and Helen Shively Phillips. Rosemary was also preceded in death by her husband of nearly 71 years, Cleston G. "Beanie" Beans on January 17, 2024; brother, Joseph Phillips Jr.; and sister, Barbara McCullough.

She was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School, and was a member of the First United Church of Christ in New Philadelphia. Alongside her husband, she operated C. Beans Electric for nearly 40 years, a testament to their dedication and hard work.

Rosemary's legacy lives on through her loving family. She is survived by her three sons: Dave Beans and his wife Beth of Dover, Gary Beans and his wife Michelle of Florida, and Larry Beans and his wife Rhonda also of Dover. In addition to her sons, Rosemary leaves behind a sister-in-law, Donna Phillips of New Philadelphia, as well as five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Cremation is in the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. There will be no services at this time. Burial will be later in East Avenue Cemetery, New Philadelphia.
