Roy W. Lengler, 88, of 5186 Woodruff St., (Parral) Dover, Ohio died Sunday, September 26, 2004 at Union Hospital following a brief illness.
He was a longtime employee of the former Everett Waltz Drilling Company in Strasburg. He had also previously worked for Marlite, Diebold Company in Canton and the Warner & Swasey Company.
Born December 14, 1915 in Dover Township, he was the son of the late William and Emma Knodle Lengler.
Roy was a member of the St. John�(TM)s United Church of Christ in Dover. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed collecting antiques and sold items at area flea markets.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Charlotte Hagloch Lengler who died May 24, 2001.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Lengler of Dover and his granddaughter, Brittany Barber, a student at Mount Union College. He is also survived by two sisters, Florence Vasbinder and Kitty Wells both of Dover.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Lloyd Lengler.
Funeral services celebrating Roy�(TM)s life will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at 1pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park where the Dover VFW will conduct military graveside services. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 pm.
