Ruby I. Hensley, 86, of New Philadelphia died Saturday, March 13, 2004 at Morning View Care Center following and extended illness.
Ruby worked many years with her son at Jack�(TM)s Produce Market in Tuscarawas, and was also a foster grandparent at United Day Care.
Born May 25, 1917 in Floe, West Virginia she was a daughter of the late John B. and Bell Sears Vaughan.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, embroidery and cheering on the Cleveland Indians. She also loved collecting ceramic frogs and anything that had a picture of a frog.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Moody C. Hensley, who passed away on January 29, 1993.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Hensley and Maxine Quarles; a son, Jack (Donna) Hensley all of New Philadelphia; three sisters, Mabel Smith and Ruth Yost both of Chloe, West Virginia and Geneva (Paul) Snyder of Akron; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
A brother, Paul Vaughan; son in law, Clay Quarles; and a grandson, Dan Quarles, also preceded her in death.
A celebration of Ruby�(TM)s life will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at 1:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at 246 East High Ave. in New Philadelphia with Rev. Paul Parsons officiating. Interment will be at the Evergreen Burial Park. Friends can call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
