Russell (Mike) Lahm

Russell E. “Mike” Lahm, 78, of Dover, Ohio died Monday, May 8, 2006 in Union Hospital in Dover.

Born January 8, 1928 in Dover, he was the son of the late Peter and Delphia (Lantzer) Lahm.

Mike retired as a machine operator for the Greer Steel Company in Dover where he worked for over 40 years.

He was a member of St. John�(TM)s United Church of Christ in Dover and enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred “Midge” Howell Lahm with whom he celebrated 52 years of marriage on July 11; He is also survived by two daughters, Patricia (Joseph) Wiegand of Dover and Tammy Jo (Joseph) Kerr of Pennsylvania; one son Ricky (Darlene) Lahm of New Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Joshua Wiegand, Christopher Lahm, Jessica Lynn Wiegand, and Samantha Jo Kerr; a great granddaughter, Jocelyn Ann Cass; three sisters, Dorothy Welsch of New Philadelphia Marge Freed and Shirley Ann Collar both of Dover.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Jim Lahm.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 12 pm in the Dover Burial Park with Rich Lawver officiating. At Mike�(TM)s request, there will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sloan Kettering Pediatric Cancer Care, 1275 York Ave., New York, New York 10021
