Ruth A. Brisgal

Ruth A. Brisgal, 83, of Dover died Thursday, April 20, 2000 at the Park Village Health Care Center following an extended illness.

She retired as a Plant Nurse from Macomber Inc. at Canton. She was also an RN at Timken Mercy Hospital where she was instrumental in starting the Emergency Room in 1947.

Born June 30, 1916 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Francis and Mary Elizabeth Weber Brisgal.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she sang in the choir for many years. She was also involved with many clubs and activities within the church along with numerous nursing organizations.

Ruth is survived by one niece: Margaret Anne (Mike) Marino of Dover.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Norbert, Bernard and Rev. Fr. Roger Brisgal

Sister: Sister Alice Marie Brisgal.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2000 at 10:30 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be at the St. Joseph Calvary 6th Street Cemetery. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm with Christian Wake Services starting at 8:00 pm.
