Ruth Ann Lieser

Ruth Ann Lieser, 81 of Dover passed away at Union Hospital on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 following an extended illness.

Born on August 13, 1931 in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Helen Mary (Adams) Hoverland. She was a 1949 graduate of Dover High School. She began working for Reeves Bank, which is where she was introduced to her husband, the late William Lieser. The couple was married on April 5, 1952. William passed away on April 17, 2008. When working for Reeves, she was in charge of the bank's "Hop along Cassidy Club" for children.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son Jeffrey W. Lieser in 1981.

Ruth Ann enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and word finds. She was a talented cook and will be remembered for her delicious pies. When she was younger, she loved to "shop til she dropped" with her family and friends. She was always looking for a good bargain.

She will be sadly missed by her children; Pam Lieser of Napoleon, Pat (Jeanie) Lieser of Minerva, Mark Lieser of Dover; grandchildren, Michael and Jonathan Lieser of Minerva, Sara (Todd) Sonnenberg of Napoleon, Brian (Keri) Morlock of Loveland; great grandchildren, Ty Sonnenberg of Napoleon, Carter and Clara Morlock of Loveland; her brother, Richard Hoverland of Dover; her niece, Kim Hastings (companion, Marty Menefee) of Tuscarawas; great niece, Danielle Hastings of Roswell; great-nephew, Zack Hastings of Dover.

A celebration of Ruth Ann's life will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Thomas Dunkle officiating. Interment will take place at Dover Burial Park. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center.
