Ruth I. Barbee

Ruth I. (Ellsworth) Barbee, 65, of Clinton, Ohio and formerly of Dover (Parral), Ohio died Friday, March 10, 2000 at Univ. of Pittsburgh Presbyterian Hospital following an extended illness. Ruth was a former employee of Union Hospital at Dover for 12 years and also formerly worked in the nursery at the Cathedral of Tomorrow in Cuyahoga Falls. Born October 7, 1934 near Dover, she was the daughter of the late William O. and Helen Domer Ellsworth. Ruth was a member of The Chapel and TOPS in Akron and enjoyed crocheting, cross stitch, and ceramics. She is survived by her husband Clyde W. Barbee with whom she would have celebrated 49 years of marriage on Oct. 13. Four Sons Mark (Rita) Barbee of Uniontown, James (Jane) Barbee of Green, Duane (Lynn) Barbee and Kevin (Carol) Barbee both of Akron. Two Sisters Jane (Bob) Taylor of Kathleen, Georgia and Barbara (Dutch) Schilling of Lancaster, California and a brother, John (Nancy) Ellsworth of San Antonio, Tx. 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her sister, June Renner. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 2 PM in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. James Dull officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 5-8 PM and Monday from 1- 2 PM.
