Ruth Stanke, 90, of Dover passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at her home from natural causes.
Born on July 22, 1927 in Massillon, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Pearl (Price) Wilson. She graduated from Massillon Washington High School with the class of 1945. She married Frasher D. Stanke, who preceded her in death on January 10, 1998. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Merle Wilson, who died while serving our country during World War II, and Fred Wilson.
Ruth was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Dover. She volunteered for Mobile Meals. She was a member of the Zoar Ladies Golf League. She loved music and volunteered at the Trumpet in the Land.
She will be sadly missed by her two sons: Fred Stanke of Dover, Kevin (Donna) Stanke of Dover; five grandchildren, Dr. Jennifer Stanke, Jillian Stanke, Jonathan (Kari) Stanke, Sara Stanke, and Mark Stanke; great grandchildren, Gabriel, Lillyanne, Micah, and Madilyn Stanke; sister in-law, Sheila Wilson; along with her former daughter in law, Carol Stanke of Canton.
