Ruth Joan Trimmer

Ruth Joan Trimmer, 74, a lifelong Dennison resident, passed away Friday, August 24, 2001, in the Morning View Care Center after a long illness.

She retired as clerk/secretary from the Twin City Water Department.

Born May 23, 1927 at Dennison, she was daughter of the late Herman & Erma Bower Thompson.

Joan was a member of the Park Christian Church in Dennison, a church which she originally joined in 1937. A 1945 graduate of Dennison High School, she later attended Tiffin College.

She loved to crochet, had enjoyed golfing, and was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed watching her sons and grandchildren participate for area sports teams.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Siki” Trimmer, who died March 18, 1974.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 27, at 2:00pm in Park Christian Church at Dennison with Pastor Dave Bryan officiating. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville. A reception will follow services in the church fellowship hall. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 12:00 noon until time of services at 2:00pm.
