Ruth M. Reed

Ruth M. Reed of Sugarcreek died Sunday, July 19, 2015 at her daughter's home following a period of declining health.

She celebrated her 99th birthday on April 18th, having been born to the late Arthur C. and Elsie Roth Putt. She was married to the late Glenn E. Reed in June of 1935 and celebrated 41 years of marriage until his death in 1976. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Steiner, Thelma Banks, Grace Putt and a brother, Kenneth Putt.

Ruth was a member of the Ragersville Zion United Church of Christ. Her life-long special interests included genealogy, sewing and flower gardening.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ellen Bryan and Janice (Ted) Brown both of Sugarcreek; grandchildren, Denise (Jason) Mast, Tim Brown, Jennifer Click; great grandchildren, Jason Ross Mast, Rolland Ted Mast, LaRainne Ruth Mast, Lindsay Renae Brown, Leah Marie Brown, Miranda Nicole Click, Megan Brianne Click; brother, Robert Putt of Arizona and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Community Hospice for their support and care. Also, a thank you to the church family, neighbors and friends for the prayers and gifts of food, all were greatly appreciated.
