Ruth E. Miller

Ruth Eileen Miller, 94, Oak Harbor, formerly of Dundee, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Toledo Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on May 5, 1929 in York Township, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Ervin and Oma (Sherrets) Beaber. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Paul S. Miller; son, Jeffry Miller; sister, Thelma H. (Glen) Maurer; brother, Dale E. (Rosalie) Beaber; brothers-in-law, Glenn Ritenour, Robert L. Miller, Bill (Susan) Miller, and sisters-in-law, Marjorie (Linus) Yockey and Barb Beaber. 

She was a member of the Dundee United Methodist Church. She retired from Garaway Local Schools, where she was a cook. She enjoyed sewing, reading, doing puzzles, making gifts, and visiting with friends. Most of all, she loved her family, especially her 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. 

She is survived by daughter, Judy (Ed) Dewitz; daughter in law, Rose (Guy- Miller) (Jim) Schlabach; grandchildren, Gary (Kelly) Dewitz, Jessica (Dan) Brough, Trever (Karen) Miller; great grandchildren, Cobi (Lauren), Gage and Emma Brough, Amber (Alex) Smith, Drake Dewitz, Luke and Jake Miller; great great grandchildren, Colton and Laney Smith and Breece Brough; sister, Betty (Bob) Lovelace; brother, Glen Beaber; as well as, many nieces and nephews. 

The family will be greeting friends on Sunday, November 12th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 13th, at the funeral home, starting at 11:00 am with Pastor Ray Garvin officiating. Interment will be at the Dundee Cemetery. Immediately following the graveside service, a luncheon will be served at the Dundee United Methodist Church.
