Ruth Reiger Reischman

Ruth Reiger Reischman, 83, of Baltic and a former Strasburg resident died Sunday, January 7, 2001 at the Baltic Country Manor following an extended illness.

She retired from the Garver Brothers Store at Strasburg after many years of service.

Born December 13, 1917 in Beach City, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Stella Snavely Sterner.

She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ at Strasburg. She also enjoyed playing cards and the piano, as well as, knitting and crocheting.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Arthur J. Reischman who died on March 29, 1988.

She is survived by two sons: Robert and Carol Reiger of Chesapeake, Virginia
Ronald and Linda Reiger Sr. of Gahanna, Ohio

Daughter: Leona Miller of Baltic

Two step-daughters: Roxanna DeVault of Lexington, Ohio
Judy and Bud DeVault of Beach City

Five grandchildren: Don Miller, Bob Miller, Tammy Hicks, Ronald Reiger Jr. and
Melanie Tallent

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2001 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Gerald Schuessler officiating. Interment will be at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
