Sally A. Rothacher

Sally A. Rothacher, 75, of Dover passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 at New Dawn Health Care Center following a period of declining health.

Born on September 8, 1942 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Betty (Patterson) Murray. She was also preceded in death by her son, Keith Rothacher on February 26, 2014.

She attended Dover High School. On June 4, 1961, she married the love of her life, Rudy Rothacher, who survives. She loved bowling with Rudy and earned many trophies. She and Rudy frequented The Good House for dancing every Saturday. The couple was usually the first on the dance floor and the last off at the end of the evening. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan. She has left her family and friends with many wonderful memories.

Sally was employed at the former Siffs Shoe Store in Dover, Knights Inn, and she retired from the Hampton Inn in Dover.

In addition to her husband, Rudy, she will be missed by her three children; Tracy (Suann) Rothacher of Dundee, Eugene (Stephanie) Rothacher of Elyria, Anita Rothacher and her fiance, Kevin Menapace of New Philadelphia; her four siblings, Bobby (Donna) Murray of Wisconsin, Don (Ada) Murray of Dover, Carol (Larry) Rothacher of Indiana, Linda (Frank) Hidey of Roswell; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; along with her extended family, Rock and Vicki Thomas of Dundee, and Jack and Rhonda Thomas of Beach City.

Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 11-1pm. A celebration of Sally’s life will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday following calling hours at 1:00pm with Pastor William Johnson officiating. Immediately following the service, a meal will be served at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center in Dover.
