Sally C. Bauman

Sally C. Bauman, 77, of Strasburg passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the Inn at Northwood. 

Born on May 16, 1947 she was a daughter of the late Carl and Jean Eyster Bauman. 

Sally devoted 38 years of her life to teaching at Dover City Schools, where she inspired countless students as a second and third-grade teacher, as well as a reading specialist. Sally was a proud graduate of Strasburg High School in 1965. She furthered her education by earning a bachelor's degree from Kent State University and a master's degree from Ashland University. Beyond her professional achievements, Sally found great joy in traveling with her friends and spending quality time with her family. She was also a member of the First Lutheran Church in Strasburg.

Sally is survived by her loving sisters, Sonnie (Don) Grove and Pam (Gary) Bixler, both of Strasburg, and Debbie Neidenthal of Medina. She is also remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews: Mike (Suanne) Grove, Missy (Terry) Sisson, Mitch (Meagan) Grove, Laura (Chris) Conrad, Jennifer (Kyle) Miller, Drew (Robbyn) Neidenthal, Lauren (Zack) Twigg, and Audrey Neidenthal. 

Private family funeral services will be held, with interment in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg.
