Samuel T. 'Sam' Brady

Samuel T. 'Sam' Brady, 62, of 228 E. 12th St., Dover, died Monday, September 6, 1999, in his home.  

He had worked for the City of Dover for ten years and was well known in the area for his 22 years of employment at Quality Farm and Fleet.  He was also the former coordinator of Urban Renewal for the City of Dover.

Born September 7, 1936 at Dover, he was son of the late Michael and Victoria Rapsco Brady.

Sam was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover and the Knights of Columbus.  He was an Army veteran who was stationed in Germany during World War II and was a member of the Tuscarawas VFW.  He enjoyed golfing and fishing in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife Mary Susan 'Susie' (Cheslock) Brady, whom he wed on August 6, 1966.

Also surviving are: a son, Matthew Brady of the home, brother, Joseph Brave of Dover, 5 nieces and 5 nephews.

In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria.

A funeral mass will be held Friday, September 10, at 10:30am in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating.  Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover.  Friends may call in Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm, with Christian Wake services being held at 8:30pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover.
