Sandra K. Winkler

Sandra K. Winkler, 71, of Beach City and formerly of Strasburg, died Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Union Hospital following a brief illness.

Born July 24, 1945 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Carl "Popeye" and Vivian Weber Snyder. Sandy was also preceded in death by her husband, Stanley E. Winkler on August 16, 2015; son, Stanley Christopher Winkler; sister, Sue White; niece, Samantha White and nephew, Troy Harper.

Sandy was a homemaker, and had also worked at Bill's Dairy, Circle K and Flex Technologies in Mt. Eaton. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Strasburg, Dover Moose, Tusco Traveleers and the Monday Night Euchre Club. In her spare time she loved spending time with her family, camping and playing cards.

Sandy will be sadly missed by her daughter, Libby Winkler (Robert Prah) of Cleveland; sister, Carol Rouse (Larry) Nicsinger of Strasburg; brother, Dennis (Karen) Snyder of Akron; brother in law, Jerry White of Strasburg; grandchildren, Ian, Jacob and Zachary Prah.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 3 at 1:00 pm in the First Lutheran Church at Strasburg with Pastor Karen Biggerstaff officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover is handling arrangements.
