Sandra Lee Rektor

Sandra Lee Rektor, 42, of Dover passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Affinity in Massillon.

Born on January 17, 1975 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Toni (Levengood) May. She was also preceded in death by her grandfather, William Levengood.

On April 12, 2008, she married Paul Michael Rektor.

In addition to Paul, she will be sadly missed by her daughter; McKenzie Rektor (fiance, William Boylan); brother, Paul (Heather) May of New Philadelphia; her nephews, Dugan and Baron May of New Philadelphia; grandmother, Wilma Levengood of Dover; uncles, Bill May of Dover, Jim May of New Philadelphia, Bob May of Lancaster; her mother-in-law, Sheri Rektor of Youngstown, father-in-law, Mark Rektor of Jefferson.

Sandra graduated with the class of 1993 from New Philadelphia High School. She was a member of the Dover Faith United Methodist Church and worked at Walmart for many years. She enjoyed reading, coloring, country music, and Disney. She loved watching her daughter, McKenzie, dance and perform in band competitions. She also enjoyed attending Dugan and Baron’s sporting events. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

A memorial service will take place at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11:00am with Pastor Shelly Nordine officiating. Friends can call one hour prior to the service on Saturday. A funeral reception will take place at Faith United Methodist Church immediately following the service.
