Sandra Steed

Sandra Steed, 74, of Dover, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019, at Country Club Retirement Center following an extended illness.

Born on September 26, 1944, in Coshocton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William T. and Betty (Smith) Eddy. On May 26, 1963, she married Arthur Steed. Sandra was Arthur’s caregiver following his stroke. He preceded her in death after 44 years of marriage on September 9, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her daughter; Marla Hartline, brothers; Richard and William Eddy; and her great-granddaughter, Avery Nicole Johnson.

Sandra graduated from Newcomerstown High School. She was a nurses aide at New Dawn Retirement Community in Dover. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout Troop leader for many years. Sandra was an animal lover and enjoyed rescuing dogs.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Vickie (Henry) Garrett of Sherrodsville; along with three grandchildren, Braxston Rinehart, Jessica Hartline, and Chance Hartline; along with her grand-dog, Bentley Garrett.
