Sarah "Jane" Harrold

Sarah "Jane" Harrold, 94, of Beach City passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar.

Born on April 14, 1918 in Dundee, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Emma Newman Weber. On December 23, 1939, she married the love of her life, Clifford Harrold. Jane and Clifford were married 43 years, until he passed away on March 11, 1981. She is also preceded in death by three brothers; Warren, Clifford, and Glenn Weber; two sisters, Helen Burrell and Marian Weber.

Jane retired from Aberth's Bakery in New Philadelphia, where she worked as a cake decorator for over 20 years. She attended the Strasburg United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Alpha Class, worship committee, and sang in the church choir. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, and making candy. She was a very talented baker and taught cake decorating classes at Buckeye Care Center for many years.

She will be sadly missed by her; daughter, Kathleen (Tim) Gordon of Strasburg; son, Paul Harrold of Navarre; brother, Don (Twila) Weber of Bellfontaine, Ohio; sister in-law, Cathryn Weber; along with her grandson, Michael Harrold of Canton.

A celebration of Jane's life will take place at the Strasburg United Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 11:00 am with Rev. Lynda Masters officiating. Interment will take place at Grandview Union Cemetery in Strasburg. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served in the church fellowship hall. Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 4-7 pm.
