Selma E. Brown, age 94, of Dover, died Thursday, March 12, 2015, in the New Dawn Retirement Community.
Born February 8, 1921 in Sterling, Wayne County, she was a daughter of the late William and Della (Blatter) Bauman. Selma graduated from high school and went on to attend the Bible Institute of Los Angeles. She was wed to Overton W. Brown on October 10, 1952, in Inglewood, California. The Browns were missionaries with the Mission Aviation Fellowship for over twenty years in southern Mexico and Honduras. Additionally, they worked with the Bible Club Movement in Tuscarawas County.
Selma is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Kenneth) Bocnuk of Leesburg, Virginia, and her grandson, Nikolai.
In addition to her parents, Selma was preceded in death by her beloved Overton on January 7, 2013.
