Sharon L. Taylor

Sharon L. Taylor, 79, of New Philadelphia passed away suddenly on Monday, March 13, 2023 in the Park Village Health Care Center at Dover.

She was born on October 1, 1943 in Dover to the late Donald and Thelma Borden Prosser. Sharon was also preceded in death by her husband, Bruce M. Taylor on August 7, 2022; and a sister, Marsha Porter.

Sharon was a proud homemaker to her children, and when they were older, she joined Bruce and Mike at the Allstate office doing various jobs, and was willing to help wherever necessary. She and Bruce traveled the world on numerous trips with Allstate, and she loved spending time with family at their beach home on Kiawah Island. In her spare time, Sharon enjoyed reading, working in her flower garden and being with her childhood friends, Carol King, Linda Marburger and Janet Liggett.

A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Sharon will be sadly missed by her children, Michael (Lori) Taylor of West Virginia, Amy (Ned) Nicholson of South Carolina; grandchildren, Amanda and Hannah Taylor, Ben and Taylor Nicholson; and her brother, Paul “Dave” (Cathy) Prosser of Canton.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 16th starting at 2:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Rev. LuAnn Youngman officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1-2 pm.
