Sherry L. (Sharon) Moran, 65, a lifelong resident of Dover died Saturday, November 23, 2013 in her home, lovingly surrounded by her family following a lengthy illness.
Sherry was the former owner and operator of Moran's 2-B, LLC in Dover.
Born August 10, 1948 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Adrian J. and Janet (Incarnato) Deetz Sr.
Sherry was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover. She was a graduate of the 1967 Class at St. Joseph High School in Dover. She was a member of the New Philadelphia VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She had many interests in her life. She enjoyed watching her sons participate in their sporting events . She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid Cleveland Browns, OSU Buckeyes, Green Bay Packers and Notre Dame football fan. She also enjoyed traveling in the Bahamas and Las Vegas with family and friends. Sherry was always the life of the party. She was very creative and enjoyed decorating for special events. Finally, she touched many lives over the years and served as an inspiration to others with cancer.
She will be sadly missed by her family including her husband Richard "Rick" Moran. The two fell in love in February of 1971 and celebrated 40 years of marriage this past August 31; two sons, Kristopher K. (Melissa) Moran and Brock P. Moran both of Dover; two grandchildren, Justice "Justi" and Kameron K. Moran; a sister, Sandra K. Deetz of Dover and a half sister, Diana Deetz Angione of Canton; a niece, Angela Jo Fortney and nephew, Thorn Deetz along with four aunts, Libby Zaychek, Marge Incarnato, Betty Caswell Incarnato, and Marlene Incarnato and numerous cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Adrian "Buddy" Deetz and her mother and father in law, Clyde and Carol Jean Moran.
A Rite of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 beginning at 1:30pm in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. She will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Cemetery at Dover and a reception will be held in the St. Joseph Family Life Center. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm.
