Shirley A. Kendle

Shirley Ann Kendle, 68, of Bolivar, died Tuesday, April 27, 2004, in her home.

She had worked as head cook for the Park Village Health Care Center at Dover for nearly 15 years.

Born July 5, 1935 at Dover, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Martha Judy Wright.

Shirley loved spending time with her family. She especially adored her grandchildren and always looked forward to their visits.

On January 5, 2002, Shirley lost her husband of 46 years, Norman C. “Charlie” Kendle.

Survivors include: two daughters, Rhonda (Tim) Baker of Piedmont and Kim (John) Karl of Dover; two sons, Dwayne Kendle and his fiancé Terry Cunningham of Canton and Doug (Linda) Kendle of Dover; six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, a brother, John (Karen) Wright of Strasburg, and a sister, Linda Large of Canton.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wright.

A funeral service celebrating Shirley�(TM)s life will be held Friday, April 30, at 2:30 p.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover with Rev. Kevin Anslow and Pastor Rod Phillips officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Following the burial, a reception will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center.

Friends may call in the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
