Shirley J. Cox

Shirley J. Cox, 68, of Beach City died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in the Mercy Medical Center at Canton.

Born February 20, 1945 in Cleveland she was a daughter of the late Albert and Rose Opava Sladek.

Shirley was a homemaker and had also worked at Buehler's in the Bakery department for 10 years. She attended Dover First Moravian Church.

A wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother, Shirley will be sadly missed by her husband of almost 37 years, William H. Cox, whom she married on August 16, 1976; children, Lisa and her husband Brad, Julie and her husband Will, Donald (Mary) Cox, William (Nikki) Cox and Robert (Peggy) Cox; brother, Albert (Patty) Cox and 17 grandchildren.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. There will be no calling hours or services. Those wishing to express their fondest memories of Shirley may do so by visiting the on line obituaries and flowers link on the funeral homes website.
