Shirley J. Garrett

Shirley J. Garrett, 64, of New Philadelphia died Friday, October 24, 2003 at Aultman Hospital following a brief illness.

Born January 25, 1939 in Dennison she was a daughter of Royce Holcomb of New Philadelphia and the late Elizabeth Best Holcomb.

She enjoyed bingo, reading and spending time with her family.

Shirley is survived by her husband Henry “Louie” Garrett Sr. with whom she would have celebrated 48 years of marriage on November 6, 1955.

She is also survived by two sons: Henry (Vickie) Garrett Jr. of Sherrodsville

Daughter: Debra (Steve) Miller of New Philadelphia

Three sisters: Barbara Lorenz of Bolivar
Karen Wiggins of Stewart, Florida
Joyce Taylor of Bolivar

Brother: Royce “Sonny” Holcomb of New Philadelphia

Six grandchildren: Jeremy and Jason Garrett, Leland and Shawn Miller,
Braxston Rinehart and Mackenzie Garrett

Former daughter in law: Holly Gibbons

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at 11:00 am in the Toland Herzig Funeral Home at New Philadelphia with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Burial Park. Following the burial there will be a reception at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 pm.
