Shirley Lucille Paulus

Shirley Lucille Paulus, 80, of New Philadelphia passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Schoenbrunn Healthcare Center in New Philadelphia.

Born on December 22, 1936 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Edna (Maurer) Guedel. Shirley was also preceded in death by; Roy (Marjorie) Huebner, Joseph (Dorothy) DeMarco, Clayton (Elsie) Guedel, and her long- time companion, Art Winkler who preceded her in death in February of 2004.

Shirley graduated from Strasburg High School. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Uhrichsville. She enjoyed playing cards, but most of all loved taking care of and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by her children; Michael (Christine) Paulus of Seven Hills, Marsha (Lionel) Coffey of Euclid, Mark (Denise) Paulus of Akron; and her sister, Loretta (Rodney) Archinal of Navarre; four grandchildren; and a great grandson.

A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 2:30pm with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Dover Burial Park.
