Sonia Joy Lengler

Sonia Joy Lengler 67, of 324 E. 13th St., Dover, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 2, 2004 following an extended illness.

Sonia was born on December 24, 1936 in Dover, the daughter of the late Earl and Mildred (Kennedy) Levengood. She was also preceded in death by her infant granddaughter, Kate Lynn Zaleha.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Harold E. Lengler. They were married on October 13, 1956. She is also survived by her children Michael and Jill Lengler of Dover, Wendy and John Kaiser of Grafton, Ohio, Nancy and Mike Zaleha of Springfield, Ohio, and Lori and Michael Phillips of Dover; Six grandchildren Sam and Callie Lengler, Philip Kaiser, Michael, Clay, and Christopher Phillips; two foster grandchildren, Elisha and Shalyn; one brother Jack and Phyllis Levengood of Fruitland, Florida and many friends including her lifelong friend Mary Ann (Vince) Kyle of Dover.

Sonia was a lifelong member of the St. John�(TM)s United Church of Christ in Dover and active in many church, school, YMCA, and card clubs. Her greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services celebrating Sonia�(TM)s life will be held Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at 11 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Steve Daniels officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. A reception will follow in the St. John�(TM)s United Church of Christ. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
