Sophie F. Lemon

Sophie F. Lemon, 82, of New Philadelphia departed this life on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at Aultman Hospital.

Born November 18, 1923 in Uhrichsville she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Stone Page.

Sophie was a Lab Technician at Charity Hospital and Marymount Hospital in Cleveland, and she had also worked at Halle�(TM)s Department Store.

She was a member of St. Mark�(TM)s AME in Dover and had also belonged to St. John�(TM)s AME in Cleveland. Sophie was also a member of the Dover VFW Aux. In her free time she enjoyed traveling and entertaining her family and friends.

Sophie was preceded in death by her husband Willie Lemon who died in 1970.

She is survived by a daughter, Valerie Lemon of Akron; sister, Elizabeth Walker of Dover and a brother, John (Ann) Page of Uhrichsville; two brothers in law, George and Joseph Lemon of Massillon and a sister in law, Pauline Lemon of Massillon; many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Louise Burbage.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 10:30 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover with Rev. Shawn Shell officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the funeral home on Saturday one-hour prior to the service.
