Sister Mary Carol Aeling, 78, died on Wednesday, September 25, 2002 in the infirmary of the Sisters of Divine Providence at Allison Park, Pennsylvania following an extended illness.
She was a former schoolteacher at St. Joseph�(TM)s School in Dover. She also had previously taught at St. Basil (Carrick), St. Sylvester (Brentwood), St. Joseph (Duquesne), St. Anne (Castle Shannon), and St. Brendan (Detroit, MI).
Born March 12, 1924 in Dover, she was the 3rd child, named Helen Marie Aeling, to the late Charles and Anna Prince Aeling. She entered religious life on September 7, 1944 from St. Joseph (Dover parish).She received her Bachelors degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and her Masters degree from the University of Detroit.
She is survived by four brothers and two sisters

David (Connie) Aeling of Columbus
Richard (Treva) Aeling of Canton
Marjorie Preece of Massillon
Charlene (James) Herzig of Dover
A brother in law Everett Bowman of Dover
A sister in law Eileen Aeling of Dover
And 1000 sisters of Divine Providence and Associates throughout the world.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Catherine Bowman, Gertrude Sponagle, Sr. Annella Aeling, a brother, Howard Aeling and three infant siblings.
A Rite of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at 10:00 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover.
