Stanley L. Gibbs

Stanley L. Gibbs, 81, of Dover passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.

Born on June 28, 1940 in Dover he was the son of the late Kenneth and Beulah Burkholder Gibbs. Stan was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Swegheimer.

He retired from Reeves Steel in 1985 after 36 years of service, and was a former member of the Manchester Trinity Chapel. Stan loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

A loving and caring husband, father and grandfather, Stan will be sadly missed by his wife of 61 years, Joyce Kelley Gibbs whom he married on October 8, 1960; children, Todd (Becky) Gibbs of Massillon, Tim Gibbs of Dover, Tammy (Josh) Lair of Manchester; sister, Grace Luthy of Streetsboro; grandchildren, Josh (Heather), Sheena (Kevin), Emily (Landon), DJ, Elyse, Samantha; great grandchildren, Gabriel, Elowen, Aden, Aubrey; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 21st at 11:00 am at the Dover Burial Park.
