Sue Ann Gray, 72, of Tippecanoe, near Gilmore, Ohio, died in her home on Saturday morning, April 18, 2009 after an extended illness.
Born August 16, 1936, in Hummel's Valley, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Harold E. West and Almeda (Boar) Rippeth. She married her husband, Glenn Gray on November 2, 1956. Together they had one daughter and two sons.
Sue worked for many years for Miller Studio and later
worked for a local glass company. She also worked
alongside her husband, Glenn, as a bookkeeper and
secretary for Gray Eering Engineering and Manufacturing.
She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and watching
basketball. She had a very kind heart and supported many charities throughout her life. Above all, she loved her family and friends and cherished her time spent with them.
Sue leaves behind her loving husband, Glenn Gray who lives near Gilmore, Ohio; one daughter, Tracey (Harry) Huggins, of Dover; two sons, Lainard (Sandra) Gray and Jay (Lisa) Gray both from near Gilmore; four grandchildren, Christopher (Tara) Gray of Marysville, Ohio, Amanda Gray of Columbus, Ohio, Danielle (Andy) Gray-McMillen of Deersville, Jayson Gray of near Gilmore; two great-grandchildren, Kaylah O'Donahue and Braeden Gray both of Marysville, Ohio; three sisters, Sally (Jerry) Holdsworth of New Philadelphia, Robin Singer of Dover, and Pamela (John) Patacca of New Philadelphia, and one brother
Olin (Donna) Rippeth of New Philadelphia.
A celebration of Sue's life will take place at West Union United Methodist Church on Tuesday April 21, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Beth Mansperger officiating. Interment will follow at West Union Cemetery, which is next to the church. Following the service of committal, a meal will be held at the church fellowship hall. Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory in New Philadelphia on Monday April 20, 2009 from 4:00-7:00 pm.
