Sue E. Vernizzi-Daley

Sue E. Vernizzi-Daley, age 71, of Dover, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023, at Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia.

Born September 10, 1951 in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Isidore “Izzy” and Rosemary Weinman Vernizzi. Sue went to Winfield Grade school and graduated from Dover High School in 1969. She was employed by the late Dr. Frank Fisher as a veterinary technician, and later worked as a pharmacy technician for the former H & A Drug in New Philadelphia. Sue married Larry Daley, who survives, on June 27, 1975.

She was a member of Bisel Church in Dover. Some of her favorite pastimes were buying and selling antiques, fishing and being outdoors.

In addition to her husband, Larry, Sue is survived by her sister, Lynn (Dale) Vogel of Dover; her brother, Tom (Betsy) Vernizzi of Louisville, Kentucky; her step-grandchildren, Nicholas Robert (Mary) Daley and Rachelle Lynn (Christopher) Mathias; and her nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-son, Larry Laverne Daley.

In keeping with Sue’s wishes, she will be cremated, and there will be no visitation or ceremony.
