Susan M. Hardy

Susan M. Hardy, 94, of Dover passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Star City, West Virginia on November 16, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Caroline (Benincasa) Oliverio. She had celebrated 54 years of marriage with Donald F. Hardy before he died on January 18, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her son, Richard Hardy. She was the last surviving sibling of ten children including her twin.

She graduated with the class of 1944 from Morgantown High School in West Virginia. She had worked for Becker Potato and Strawberry Farm, which was a job that she thoroughly enjoyed. She loved spending time and taking care of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She leaves behind her son; Donald Jr. (Donna) Hardy of Bexley, Ohio; daughter, Bridget (Paul) Finlayson of Dover; her beloved grandchildren, Michael (Samantha) Hardy, Brian (Jennifer) Finlayson, Diana Hardy, Kathryn Bartley, Laura Finlayson, Dylan Hardy; great-grandchildren, Araiya Hardy, Blake Bartley, Emma Finlayson, and Ella Finlayson; along with her daughter-in-law, Cheri Hardy.
