Sylvia A. Espenschied

Sylvia A. Espenschied, 82, of New Philadelphia died Friday, July 25, 2008 in the Hennis Care Centre at Dover.

Born August 19, 1925 in Stone Creek she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Gertrude Bleininger Krebs.

She attended the First Assembly of God in New Philadelphia. Sylvia enjoyed cooking, playing cards and baking pies.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Sylvia will be sadly missed by her husband of 65 years, Emmett Espenschied; two sons, Emmett "Butch" (Pauline) Espenschied of New Philadelphia and Harold "Gene" Espenschied of New Philadelphia; three grandchildren, Gwen Moore, Chuck and Michael Espenschied and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Jacob Krebs and a sister, Marie Ash.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at New Philadelphia with Pastor Larry Fletcher officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover. Friends can call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 pm.
