Teddy T. Chewning

Teddy T. Chewning, 78, of Wilmot passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 7, 2018.

Born September 10, 1939 in Beverly, West Virginia he was a son of the late French and Virginia Sachs Chewning. Teddy was also preceded in death by his son, Randy Chewning; three brothers and a sister.

He retired in 2017 from Cosmo Plastics in Wilmot with over 45 years of service. Teddy was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Wilmot and was a former volunteer Firefighter and EMT with the Winesburg Fire Department. In his spare time, Teddy enjoyed being with his family and playing cards.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Wheadon Chewning whom he married on March 17, 1958; children, Tad Chewning of Millersburg, Rosemary (Robert) Campbell of Wooster, Lonnie (Diane) Chewning of Wilmot, Billy Joe (Elaine) Chewning of Strasburg; sisters, Glenda (Jerry) Bennett of Beach City, Sandy Pauley of West Virginia, Sharon Boggs of Youngstown, Barbara Schultz of Wooster; brother, Fred Phillips of Wooster; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11 at 7:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Private family burial will be in the Forest Lawn Gardens at McMurray, Pennsylvania.
