Terri L. Hartman, 61, of Dover passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Aultman Hospital. She was born in Dover on October 7, 1962, and was the daughter of Frank (Jackie) Klapper of Dover and the late Ida "Kathy" Kail Klapper. In addition to her mother, Terri was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Franz and Hedwig Klapper, Stanley and Ida Kail; uncle and aunt, Rudy and Dee Klapper and Marc Cappell.
Terri's early education began at Strasburg High School, and finished at Buckeye Joint Vocational School, from which she graduated in 1981. She had been employed at the family business, Strasburg Provision, for many years, where her commitment to her customers was her top priority. In recent years, she had been a deli clerk for several different stores in the area.
Terri was a member of the Massillon New Apostolic Church. Known for her outgoing nature, Terri had an undeniable magnetic personality that drew people towards her. She genuinely loved being around others and always had a friendly smile to offer. Her social nature ensured that she developed meaningful relationships throughout her life.
Among Terri's proudest accomplishments is the love she shared for her family. Her greatest joy came from being a devoted mother to her children: Kelsey (Chris) Bradison of Byesville, Hayden Hartman (fiancé Ali Consolo) of Beachwood, and Matthew Hartman of Texas. As a grandmother to Bradyn Minyo and Lyla-Jane Cornette, Terri showered them with her affection.
In addition to her immediate family, Terri leaves behind her brother, Erik (Connie) Klapper of East Sparta. Terri also had a special bond with her aunt, Marla Cappell; and her beloved cat, Sprout. Terri's extended family mourns the loss of a kind-hearted and caring relative who brought immense love and joy to their lives.
Outside of her familial roles, Terri found solace in the great outdoors and had a passion for riding motorcycles. She cherished the freedom of the open road and had the incredible experience of attending Sturgis twice.
