Thelma A. Davis, 87, of 219 E. Slingluff Ave., Dover, Ohio died Friday, November 26, 2004 in Union Hospital at Dover surrounded by her whole family.

She was an employee of the former Puritan Laundry at New Philadelphia and the Dover-Phila Laundry in Dover until it�(TM)s closing.

Born January 1, 1917 near Uhrichsville, she was the daughter of the late James and Jenni LeBarte DiGenova.

Thelma was a member of the St. Joseph�(TM)s Catholic Church at Dover and the Christian Mothers. She enjoyed crocheting and made each of her grandchildren afghans. She also loved, cooking, baking, and manicuring her yard and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell E. “Tubby” Davis who died January 2, 1993.

She is survived by four children Charles (Marilyn) Davis of Dover, Jovan (Lars) King of Dover, Darrell E. Davis II of Barnesville, and Becky (Tom) Adams of Dover; a daughter in law, Debbie Davis of Barnesville; a former son in law, Nick Soehnlen; a grand son in law, Willard Kieffer and his wife, Angela of Sherrodsville; one sister, Lucy Cramlett of Dover; eight grandchildren Chuckie (Darla) Davis, Missy (Dan) Leone, Erica (Bill) Benton, Bryce (Angie) Davis, Ammie (Darren) Carpenter, Stephanie (Charlie) Long, Elizabeth (Eric) Brindley and Cameron; 22 great grandchildren Aleasha, Kage, Hunter, Adrianna, Alexis, Andrew, Daniel, Ashley, Melissa, Vanessa, Brittany, Natalie, Brooke, Kirkland, Jacob, Brennan, Gabrielle, Ethan, Nicholas, Paul, Amber, and Tori along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Lori Kieffer, one grandson, Chad Davis, four sisters, Mary Penso, Florence Lantzer, Frances Festi, and Rosa Hoover and five brothers, Tony, John, Joe, Coney, and Pat DiGenova.

A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at 10:30 am in the St. Joseph�(TM)s Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. A reception will follow the mass at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm where Christian Wake services will be held at 8:30 pm.
