Thelma M. Williams

Thelma M. Williams, 76, of Dover, died Sunday, April 17, 2005 in Union Hospital.

Born August 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Martha Miller Meese.

She was a hard worker and devoted employee, having spent 44 years with U.S. Ceramic Tile.

Thelma attended Dover Bible Church. She enjoyed traveling, but always loved being at home where she often relaxed on her patio by watching hummingbirds and other wildlife. She took pride in caring for her home and family and was also a great cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, R.S. “Dick” Williams, who passed away on October 22, 2000.

Surviving family members include: two sisters, Iva Faye Rausch and Dora Jean (Max) Burrell; a brother, George “Eddie” (Sue) Meese; sisters-in-law, Marge Williams, Millie Williams and Sandy Smith; an aunt, Bertha Miller; step-children whom she dearly loved, George (Susan) Williams and Erma (Kevin) Fenton; three dear grandchildren, Sally and Jason Arnold, and Kirk Williams; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews that we all treated as if they were her own children.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: a granddaughter, Toni Arnold; and a brother, Dale Meese.

A ceremony that celebrates Thelma�(TM)s life will be conducted Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover with Pastor Ed Scaglione officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call in the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.
