Thomas D. Mckeever

Thomas D. McKeever, 71, a lifelong resident of Dover, died, on Thursday, November 29, 2007 in his home.

Born May 6, 1936, in Dover, he was the son of the late Willard “Fanner” and Mildred “Ditty” (Rosenberry) McKeever. On June 9, 1957, he married the love of his life, Marie Fahrner McKeever , who survives him.

He graduated from Dover High School in 1954 and later attended Heidelberg College where he played both football and baseball.

Tom retired from McKeever Decorating Company in Dover, which he owned and operated for many years. The company is now operated by his son, Steve.

He was an active member of the St. John�(TM)s United Church of Christ in Dover. Tom was an avid sports fan and actively supported the Dover Tornado Club. He enjoyed attending all of his grandchildren�(TM)s sporting events.

Tom is survived by two sons; Steve (Helen) McKeever of Dover, Tom (Alice) McKeever of Westerville, Ohio; four grandchildren; Josh and Rachel McKeever both of Dover and Westin and Jessica McKeever both of Westerville, a brother; Richard “Dick” McKeever and a sister; Bette Lou Murphy.

He is preceded in death by his grandson Zachary McKeever.

A celebration of Tom�(TM)s life will take place on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 11:00 am in the Toland- Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory in Dover with Rev. Michael Lowry officiating. Cremation will then take place. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home (Today) November 30, 2007 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.
