Thomas E. Hanlon, Sr.

Thomas E. Hanlon, Sr., 68, of Dundee died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Union Hospital.

Born June 22, 1945 in Bolivar he was a son of the late James and Leona Myers Hanlon.

Tom retired from LTV Steel in Massillon after 36 years of service as a steelworker. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and belonged to many different bow clubs throughout the years. He was a talented mechanic who could fix any car with any problem, but most importantly he loved spending time with his family.

Tom will be sadly missed by his wife of 49 years, Carol Kurtz Hanlon whom he married on May 16, 1964; children, Darrell (Marilyn) Hanlon of Sugarcreek, Carla (Lester) Keaton of Sherrodsville and Tom (Lori) Hanlon Jr. of Strasburg; siblings, Jim Hanlon of Bowerston, Jean (Bob) Hadden of North Carolina, Ellen (Carl) Ady of Bolivar, Lloyd (Sis) Hanlon of Dover, Rosie Fultz of New Philadelphia, Phyllis (Francis) Wells of Stone Creek, Bob Hanlon of Florida and Roger Hanlon of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Rob Bryant, Dustin Dotts and Dylan Riffe.
